CRPF Full Form - Central Reserve Police Force

  • CRPF stands for Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
  • It's a paramilitary which is that the largest Central Armed police force in India. CRPF works under the Ministry of Home Affairs of the government of India.
  • Its primary goal is to help the state and union territory governments in maintaining law and order in their territories. It's headquartered in New Delhi, India.

  • The name CRPF comes from the Crown Representative's Police (CRP) which was founded on 27 July 1939 to protect British people living within the sensitive states of India.
  • In 1949, under the CRPF Act, the CRP was renamed CRPF.
